Puppies

Serenci puppies

Our love of Poodles and Cocker Spaniels has led us to where we are, wanting to improve the health, temperament, and breed standard. We routinely health test our stud dogs and follow Kennel Club guidance for breeding dogs, we go above and beyond to make sure our boys are clear for known hereditary diseases present in their breed.

Serenci is our kennel club affix, meaning star dog in Welsh. Promoting good health and quality pups is the foundation to our breeding lines. We specialising in Show Cocker Spaniels and Miniature Poodles which are always raised in our family home.

As we do not always have puppies available, we run a waiting list for those who are looking for a pup. Once we have a litter or know that puppies are on the way, we get in touch with those on the list to see if they are still waiting, assuming they have not reserved a puppy elsewhere then we invite them to meet the puppies when they reach 3 weeks old. If you would like to go on our waiting list, then please get in touch.

What to expect as a prospective new owner

We invite prospective owners in the order that they appear on our waiting list. You will be invited to come and meet the puppies once they are at least 3 weeks old. Before this age, their eyes / ears are still closed and they are still very dependent upon mum and very vulnerable. Once their eyes and ears open, they begin to start walking and you can start to see individual characters come out. We collar each puppy so that we can be easily monitored from birth, and we can keep track from the second they are born.

During that first meeting, you will be able to see and interact with the puppies and ask us any questions that you might have at that point. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you can, no matter how silly you think they might be and we will be happy to give advice on:

  • Puppy training
  • Feeding
  • What to buy / What not to buy
  • Socialising
  • Cage training / Bedding
  • Vaccinations

Puppies are sold at our discretion, the sale is confirmed by the signing of a contract, deposit, and confirmation of reservation. We will provide you with a receipt showing your deposit paid and the puppy that you have chosen.

Although looking after puppies is a full-time job, we understand that new owners will want to see their pups grow and as such we allow new owners to visit the litter periodically during those first few weeks so that they can see their new dog’s early development.

Taking your puppy home

We allow owners to take their new puppies home when they reach 8 weeks old. At this point they will be fully weaned and eating solid food and more independent.

As we are qualified to do so, we will microchip your puppy and register them to you before you take them home. They will also have a full heath check at our trusted vets so that you know they are healthy and fit.

We will continue to support new owners long after they have taken their puppy home and we pride ourselves that our previous owners have continued to stay in touch even after their pup reaches adulthood. We always set up a WhatsApp group for each litter to enable the new owners to share photos, ask questions and share new milestones on.
